If you are preparing to become a traditional catholic bride and will go through the wedding programs there are a few checklists you will need to fill in. A tradition catholic mass begins with a processional when the bride and the groom walk down the aisle. The maid of honor follows. Then the guests join the priest for a hymn or song. A greeting or opening prayers by the priest starts the catholic wedding mass. A friend of the couple reads out a piece from the old testament – often the genesis story of Adam and eve. The entire church or the soloist sing the psalm, a friend or family member read out a part from the New Testament, followed by a priest reading from one of the first four books of the New Testament.
