Alex Miller (COL ‘08): Grand Knight
Alex Miller is a student of theology, flirting with a philosophy major on the side. He is from Southwestern Pennsylvania, and he is very proud of being from Pittsburgh without espousing the lesser things of the city, like the accent and absurd colloquialisms. Alex has recently revived his habit of playing the bagpipe competitively, though now that has to compete with a plethora of obligations on and off campus, These obligations include running the John Main Center for Christian Meditation on Prospect St. –Yes, we Christians have had meditation for some time; it’s not some New Age-esque enterprise– working on the committee for Jesuit Heritage Week, being Darwin’s right-hand-man, and being an overall swell character.
Alex Miller (COL ‘08): Grand Knight
Having come across the Knights of Columbus as a freshman and being involved to the extent that he cannot extract himself, Alex Miller is now the Grand Knight and immediate Past Deputy Grand Knight of the Georgetown Council. He is a senior, studying theology and philosophy, hoping to pursue further studies in theology next Fall. Alex has a caustic, sarcastic sense of humor that masks the fact that he is a nice guy. Outside of the Knights, he dabbles in languages –both dead and living– and plays his bagpipes from time to time.
Steven M. Picciano (COL 09): Treasurer
Steven is a government major in his junior year in Georgetown College. He
currently serves as Treasurer of the Georgetown University Council and as a
member of the national planning committee for the Knights of Columbus 2007
College Council Conference. Steven previously served as the Knights’
Pro-life Trustee and recently completed his term as President of Georgetown
University Right to Life.
Frederic Allen Lestina (SFS 08): Warden
Fred is originally from La-La Land (or Los Angeles) but is proud to call North Bethesda, Maryland his home. Although a fresh convert to the Church, he loves its Sacred tradition and is devoted to Christ. His comfort foods, in no particular order, are ramen (the real AND instant kinds), steamed dumplings, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and hot coffee. In his free time, he likes to read and take walks. He is a senior in the SFS and is majoring in something that will hopefully get him a job after school.
